About the Role
As we prepare to open the doors to our newest tashas cafe in Fourways, we are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead our opening team.

Your Mission
You will lead the overall success of the café by inspiring your team, driving operational excellence and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.

What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Operations
Lead the day-to-day operation of the café, ensuring exceptional standards across both Front and Back of House.
Create an environment where every team member understands and delivers the tashas experience.
Oversee opening and closing procedures, inventory management, equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
Monitor operational performance and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and guest satisfaction.
Analyse business performance, sales trends and operational metrics to drive sustainable growth.
Conduct inspiring daily briefings that prepare, motivate and engage the team for successful service.
Ensure all brand standards, policies and operating procedures are consistently upheld.
People & Culture
Recruit, inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team.
Foster a culture built on respect, accountability, collaboration and genuine hospitality.
Partner with HR and Training to support onboarding, performance management and career development.
Create meaningful opportunities for learning, recognition and professional growth.
Lead by example through professionalism, integrity and a hands-on leadership style.
Champion the values and culture that define tashas.
Guest Experience
Ensure every guest enjoys warm, thoughtful and memorable hospitality.
Lead by example on the floor, engaging with guests and supporting the team during service.
Handle guest feedback and concerns with professionalism, empathy and urgency.
Continuously look for opportunities to elevate the guest experience.
Build lasting relationships within the local community to strengthen guest loyalty and brand presence.
Champion our three pillars: beautiful food, stunning environments and engaging service.
Commercial Performance
Drive sales growth while maintaining exceptional operational standards.
Manage labour, food and beverage costs to deliver strong financial performance.
Take ownership of the café's profit and loss performance through effective planning and cost control.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability while enhancing the guest experience.
Systems & Administration
Ensure the effective use of POS systems and operational technology.
Oversee daily reporting, cash management and administrative procedures.
Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with company processes.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Uphold the highest standards of health, safety and food hygiene.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
Monitor HACCP procedures, venue safety standards and operational compliance.
Promote a safe, organised and professional environment for both guests and team members.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager within a premium hospitality environment.
A proven ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability and operational performance.
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
A calm, hands-on and solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
A commitment to excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
