About the Role

We are looking for hardworking, reliable and team-oriented Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at tashas Melrose.

As a Dishwasher, you play an essential role in the success of our kitchens. By ensuring that equipment, crockery, utensils and work areas are kept clean, organised and ready for service, you help our chefs and front-of-house teams deliver the exceptional hospitality our guests know and love.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a close-knit team and understands that every contribution matters.

Your Mission

You will help maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring the team has everything they need to deliver exceptional food and service.

Through consistency, reliability and attention to detail, you will contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen and support the high standards that define the tashas experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Kitchen Support

• Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service.

• Ensure clean items are returned promptly to the correct kitchen and service areas.

• Support chefs and kitchen teams by maintaining an organised and well-stocked dishwashing area.

• Assist with basic kitchen support tasks as required by management.

• Help ensure the kitchen is always prepared for busy service periods.

Cleaning & Organisation

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen work areas, dishwashing stations and storage spaces.

• Dispose of waste and recycling responsibly and in accordance with company procedures.

• Keep floors, sinks, drains and equipment clean and free from hazards.

• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.

• Assist with deep cleaning duties as scheduled.

Teamwork & Culture

• Work closely with chefs and the wider kitchen team to support smooth daily operations.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow.

• Foster a positive, respectful and supportive working environment.

• Embody the values and culture of tashas in every interaction.

• Take pride in contributing to the success of the team.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health, safety and food hygiene regulations.

• Adhere to HACCP procedures and company standards at all times.

• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Report equipment faults, maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is beneficial but not essential.

• A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
